Erin Noble

Physiotherapist

Erin completed her Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney. During this time she also taught Clinical Pilates classes and was a Physiotherapist for the North Sydney Bears. 
 
Following her graduation, she relocated to rural Queensland to gain an unbeatable experience as a New Graduate Physiotherapist. 
It was through this pathway that she was able to complete her Sports Physiotherapy Level 1 Course and attend the national Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Conference in Perth. 
 
Growing up competing in Calisthenics, paired with her involvement in running national dance competitions, allowed her to develop a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of human movement.

Ben Hearfield

Physiotherapist

Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University and brings with him the most cutting-edge knowledge from one of the top Physiotherapy programs in NSW. Throughout his studies, he worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant across the areas of both Orthopaedic & Neurological Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Private Practice, and Aged care, gaining valuable knowledge and experience in these areas.

Ben moved to Melbourne in 2025 to join the City South Physiotherapy team. He is passionate about working with patients with chronic health conditions, including low back pain. He loves all things athletics and working with athletes too. Ben has over 10 years of personal experience across multiple training modalities in the gym, his treatment style places an emphasis on therapeutic exercise bolstered by quality hands-on therapy, always tailored to each individual and their specific circumstances. He is passionate about not only helping patients to not only return to their previous level of activity, but to aim beyond and become the best version of themselves that they can.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys tinkering with his motorcycles, stand-up paddle boarding, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and all things nerdy from old sci-fi books to video games.

Paul Stainthorpe

Physiotherapist

Paul is an experienced physiotherapist with a special interest in sports injuries, neck pain, and chronic pain. After completing his Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) at Auckland University of Technology in 2017, he worked in private practice in New Zealand before moving to Melbourne in 2023.

He has extensive experience in post-operative rehab, including ACL, shoulder, and ankle reconstructions, and brings his personal insights to injury recovery. Paul recently completed a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through the University of Otago and has additional training in Dry Needling and Sideline Injury Management.

Currently, Paul is a Physiotherapist for Port Melbourne in the VFL and has previously worked with elite teams including women’s rugby league, Old Carey in the VAFA and the Australian U20 Girls Water Polo squad.

Outside the clinic, Paul enjoys hiking, catching up with friends and cooking, —ask him for his latest go-to recipe!

Craig Christie

Practice Owner and Senior Physiotherapist

Craig has been the owner of City South Physiotherapy since 1995 and has worked in the practice since 1991, following his graduation as a physiotherapist from La Trobe University in 1990. Craig has also worked as a senior clinical physiotherapist at Carlton Football Club in the AFL where he provided physiotherapy services from 2006-2020. Prior to this, he was the physiotherapist and head of medical services at Port Melbourne Football Club for the VFL state team from 1991-2006 and physiotherapist for VFL state team from 2000-2006.

Craig has extensive clinical experience resulting in excellent diagnostic skills, so he can assess your condition or injury and help provide the best possible treatment options and outcomes. He is a very hands on physiotherapist, so will use his clinical skills as part of your care, as well as provide exercise programs when needed.

Craig endeavours to find the fastest pathway to recovery for his patients and enjoys helping them with their return to sport, normal daily activities or work. He is experienced with treatment of all sporting and spinal injuries including complex cases and post-surgical rehabilitation. His clinical interest areas are in back and neck pain, sporting injuries and rehabilitation and lower limb biomechanics. He uses Real Time Ultrasound Imaging (RTUI) for assessment and treatment of lumbo-pelvic disorders and dry needling when indicated .

Receptionist

Nitsa commenced working at City South Physiotherapy in 2021, with extensive experience in customer service and administration. Nitsa is very caring and has learnt invaluable skills and tools she is now utilising in her role, and will be happy to assist you with any of your enquiries.
